Sarah Palin Defends Tea Party Against 'Terrorists' Comments

President Obama didn’t address the fact that the VP and another congressman referred to members of the Tea Party as ‘terrorists.’ Sean Hannity asked former Governor Sarah Palin to share her reaction to such name-calling. Palin says, “Well the president’s speech in Arizona, as he asked folks to start ratcheting down the rhetoric, was all talk. He wasn’t sincere in that and that’s typical Barack Obama. Unfortunately, that is typical of our president where it’s blah, blah, blah. All talk and no action. In other words, he didn’t tell Biden to tone it down a bit.”
She went on to reference Obama’s relationship with Bill Ayers, a former member of the activist group the Weather Underground. “I mean he didn’t have a problem palling around with Bill Ayers back in the day when he kicked off his political career in Bill Ayers’ apartment,” she said. She went on to say, “If we were real domestic terrorists, I think, President Obama wouldn’t have a problem with us.”

When it comes to the unfairness of Tea Party attacks, Palin said, “Enough is enough. I’m gonna stand up for those fiscally conservative patriotic Americans that want the best for this country. I’m gonna stand up for radio talk show hosts, who if it were not for them we would have less factual information out there.” She tells Sean, “I don’t want you or anyone else who is innocent to take it anymore.”

No one can put Sarah Palin in a box. No one controls her. Perhaps Roger Ailes originally thought he could, but when he found out how mistaken he was, he systematically set out to join the chorus of leftist libtards and began the process of deliberately sabotaging her! This is truly DESPICABLE!!

Isn't this a truly sad state of affairs? Sarah Palin has enough fiery darts being thrown at her by the rest of the Media of Mass Deception!! How disheartening to find out that Fox News is now joining in with the evil nemesis of Palin derangement syndrome haters!

Even though I didn't agree with Hillary Clinton's political views, it was so obvious that she was sabotaged by her own party back during the 2008 primary. I thought that was awful, too.

Who are these people???

If Sarah Palin toughs it out and runs for president, I think that it would be the first step in getting away from the powers-that-be who have had a death grip of control over Washington D.C. for decades.

On the other hand, if Sarah Palin decides not to run for president, she will be a formidable figure in steering conservatives towards the best GOP candidate in the race.

Shame on Roger Ailes and all the reporters and pundits (except Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren) who are in on the fix to sabotage the former governor! When Glenn Beck's program is discontinued at the end of June, it will be difficult for me to support Fox News anymore. The combination of finding out about the deliberate sabotage of Sarah Palin and the ignorant decision to let Glenn Beck go (although he will most likely move on to bigger and better things!!) has caused a bad taste in my mouth and has increasingly soured my stomach towards that news station. I suppose that I will just continue getting my news from the many excellent blogs on my blog roll.

Chopra Mocks Palin? ReasonandFaith1 Returns the Favor! [Update!]

While listening to Glenn Beck's radio program this morning, I heard about Deepak Chopra's ranting article against Sarah Palin. Gateway Pundit has the story and links, so I will just provide some insight that I learned about Chopra years ago.

Back in January, 2005, Deepak Chopra appeared on Lee Strobel's television program,  Faith Under Fire and debated Christian Apologist Greg Koukl on the topic of "The Future of Faith."

As a recipient of Greg's email alerts I received an email telling me the date, time and channel of the program. Greg also stated the following in his email:

I think you'll find the discussion stimulating and revealing. I think it's also a great opportunity for the Kingdom. Please pray there will be a powerful impact from the exchange between Chopra and me.

Great show!

This broadcast was absolutely fabulous! Greg Koukl pointed out the fact that people can have differing beliefs regarding faith, but that it is logically impossible for them all to be true at the same time. His trust in Jesus Christ and God's Word stood in direct contrast to Deepak Chopra who admitted "embracing his uncertainty." Koukl's view demonstrates a steadfast and true faith where Chopra's view can only lead to theological oblivion.

Messengers of an Impersonal God?
I watched Greg Koukl and Deepak Chopra discuss the future of faith on Lee Strobel's Faith Under Fire last night. Dr. Chopra has written numerous books on New Age spirituality that have sold millions of copies. Greg did a superb job of representing the gospel in content and character, modeling the qualities of an ambassador that he and the folks at Stand to Reason seek to instill in others. He repeatedly demonstrated the problems with religious relativism and exposed the fact that, contrary to his denial that he is dogmatic, Dr. Chopra adheres to a theological position of which he seeks to persuade others.

As a sign of respect for Jesus, Dr. Chopra said that his teaching in the Sermon on the Mount is among his favorites and that he carries a copy of it with him. However, he considers Jesus only one among a number of God's messengers. Not only is this a contradiction of the biblical witness to Jesus' uniqueness, it's also unintelligible given Dr. Chopra's own concept of the nature of God. You see, Dr. Chopra emphatically denies that God is a personal being.

The concept of messenger presupposes two activities, both of which can only be performed by persons. The first is that of sending or commissioning. The summer before I went to college I worked as a messenger for a law firm in Manhattan. They sent me and my co-workers on various assignments to deliver important documents to other firms and businesses. I didn't decide what my destination was to be. Nor did I decide at what times I would go on these errands. All of that was dictated to me by my employer. A messenger is one who is sent by someone not something.

The second activity presupposed by the concept of messenger is communication. A messenger is one who conveys a what? That's right - a message. The task of a messenger is to convey some kind of communication from the one who sent him or her to the recipient. If I were to tell you that my toaster wanted me to tell you something, you'd think that I was either joking or something was seriously wrong with me. That's because we know that toasters and other impersonal entities don't communicate. So, how Dr. Chopra explains the concept of an impersonal God having messengers, I don't know. I don't think he can.

I wouldn't be surprised if Greg offers some more detailed analysis of the exchange at STR's blog so keep an eye out for it.

Greg Koukl r0x0rz da hizzy
I only got to see from about 20 minutes after the hour, but Greg Koukl of Stand to Reason graciously, fairly, kindly, steamrolled Deepak Chopra on Faith Under Fire last night. I mean, it wasn't even fair. Wasn't even close. TKO first round, except the fight kept going. I have no idea how Greg managed to wrangle the whole hour---the biggest draw-back to Faith Under Fire has been that you have to address big issues in picoseconds, and sometimes you just can't do that very well. So, to get the whole hour with a single "opponent" was quite the coup, and resulted in a much better encounter with a much clearer result.
I've heard from Faith Under Fire three times on three different topics. First program crashed and burned when my opponent backed out. Nothing came of the second two. Haven't heard anything in months now. I don't expect to, honestly (if you go over the guest list you'll see a few names that would explain my non-expectation), but as long as they get folks like Greg on there, they'll be doing well.

In addition, SmartChristian's blog pointed out the obvious fact that "Deepak Chopra is simply a new age hindu."

Why am I sharing this with you? Because no matter what fake persona Chopra tries to present to his fans and readers of his books, the true person (emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually) often is exposed during an unnecessarily mean and cruel rant like the one he wrote against Sarah Palin.

Glenn stated some past quotes from Chopra on his radio program. I will try to locate the exact quotes and post them here. But they were similar to the idea that "we all should just get along" and "live in peace and harmony" and "not judge each other" etc. So...what did Chopra do in his angry rant against Sarah Palin? The exact opposite of his guru-type, transcendental meditation gobbledy-gook that he espouses in his books, tapes, interviews and website!

The debate between Koukl and Chopra went on for an entire hour. I found a portion of the program on YouTube, but the portion where Chopra stated that he "embraces his uncertainty" isn't in the clip.

Recently, someone told me that he thinks she is a "polarizing figure" and doesn't think she should run for president. That truly disappointed me. But who could possibly be more polarizing that our current pResident in the White House? Trouble is, Obamafraud outrightly lied during his campaign!  We have the videotapes!   Unfortunately, many people (even Christians) were fooled by his untrustworthy rhetoric. We The People won't get fooled again, and no matter who the Republican nominee turns out to be, he or she will win handedly over Obama. The nation now knows how much of a fraudster, cheater, liar, socialist, and Islamo-fascist dictator Obama really is and except for a few leftists who still are falling for his dangerous demagoguery, the following he once owned and enjoyed has diminished quite substantially.

Obama’s Strange Strategy: Borrow Foreign Money to Give to Foreign Countries

Given that we are running massive deficits and are drowning in more than $14 trillion in debt, and despite not knowing who will rule Egypt until its election this fall, this strange strategy may be the end result given President Obama’s announcement that he is committing $2 billion to Egypt’s “new government.” It’s part of a $20 billion foreign aid package laid out with the Group of 8 countries in Europe today.


Now, given that Egypt has a history of corruption when it comes to utilizing American aid, it is doubtful that the money will really help needy Egyptian people. Couple that with the fact that the Muslim Brotherhood is organized to have a real shot at taking control of Egypt’s government, and one has to ask why we would send money (that we don’t have) into unknown Egyptian hands?


Throwing borrowed money around is not sound economic policy. And throwing borrowed money around the developing world is not sound foreign policy. Foreign assistance should go to American allies that need it and appreciate it, and for humanitarian purposes when it can truly make a difference.


Considering the Obama Administration’s continued strange strategies on the economy and foreign policy has us counting down the days to the next election. November 2012 can’t come soon enough.

If Obama's strange decisions regarding the "Arab Spring" uprisings and throwing money at Egypt and the Muslim Brotherhood does not disturb you, then you are either not paying attention or are an ideologue that would back Obama no matter what he does.

It was such a breath of fresh air to read that transcript and view the video and hear Congress (most of them, anyway) CHEERING and CLAPPING about the words of Prime Minister Netanyahu!  It was especially gratifying to hear these two very important points:


1. Hamas must say the following words in order for the peace process to move forward: "We recognize Israel's right to exist."


2. Prime Minister Netanyahu rebuffed Obama's  ill-gotten plan to force Israel to go back to the 1967 lines.  Netanyahu's response?  IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!


Because Hamas has the call for the destruction of Israel in its written charter, we know that they most likely would NEVER say those six words in point #1. Therefore, it is unlikely that the peace process would move forward with that terrorist organization in charge of the Palestinian territories.


Back to Sarah and the Republican candidates for president.


No matter who becomes the Republican nominee for president, the media of mass deception with do their best to ruin any Republican candidacy during the upcoming campaign. They are so in bed with Obama and pregnant with his awful policies, that we can expect them to never be objective during the 2012 race.  Luckily, the new media (blogs, facebook pages, Internet forums and chat rooms) have already alerted WE THE PEOPLE about the lamestream media schemes, and a majority of those who are wary and paying attention to all that is going on will not fall for their lies anymore!

A Note To Sarah

I think that it is AWFUL that so many in the Media of Mass Deception are trying to pin blame on Sarah Palin for what that lunatic murderer did during his shooting rampage in Arizona. The following is what I recently wrote on Sarah Palin's FaceBook page:


Dear Sarah,

I heard your heartfelt response to Glenn Beck's letter to you on his radio show today where you denounced violence of any kind towards anyone. Thank you for being the very classy lady that you are and not falling for all the vitriole the rabid leftists spew at you.

I know that Jesus is your "Rock" and your faith in Him gets you through the ugly mess that people often sinfully cast against you. In this world of hateful rhetoric, you stand strong and above it all.

Our Lord loves you, and you love Him. No matter what the haters say about you and/or your family, they can NEVER take away what you and Todd have accomplished.

The Lord must have great things in store for you because the totally undeserved persecution going on against you is spoken of and revealed in the Bible about those who follow the Lord Jesus. I'm sure that through it all, the Lord Jesus is saying, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

As 2010 Winds Down

As another year quickly comes to a close, I find myself thinking about a variety of thoughts. In a reminiscent way, I have been thinking about many of the events (the good, the bad, and the ugly) that occurred during 2010. I have either written about many of them, or linked to blogs that have discussed these events. Some readers have enjoyed what I have written (and linked to), while others stated that they did not like what I chose to write about this past year. So be it!

Some readers prefer that I write ONLY about Jesus and the Bible and not so much about Obama and the gangster government he created which is currently wreaking havoc upon the American people.

I am of the opinion that it is very important for Christians to be engaged in whatever is happening - politically, socially, morally, and intellectually in our nation and in the world. It is through these events that we can be alert to the spiritual battle that is going on and informed about how close we are getting to the end times. I have tried to live up to the descriptive reason that I put at the top of my blog when I decided to start writing online several years ago:

Talk Wisdom's goal is to defend the tenets and values of Biblical Christian faith. We defend our Constitutional Republic and Charters of Freedom, especially when speaking out against destructive social and political issues. As followers of our Savior and Lord, we should boldly stand up for Jesus Christ in our present circumstances. He is our Savior, Lord, and King, and His love needs to be shed abroad in our hearts and in our world - now.

Over the years, I have come across comments from skeptics who pompously claim that when the Bible tells us that Jesus "is coming quickly" - it's a lie. However, what these nonbelievers do not realize is that the term "quickly" can mean "suddenly." Therefore, Christians in every generation need to be prepared for His return. When he does return, it will be a sudden event.

I think that it is a very good thing that Jesus' return will be sudden. If we all knew when Jesus was coming back for his church, what habits might we be tempted to change?

We are told to wait, watch and work until the Lord takes us into His Kingdom. Which of these three might suffer if we knew for sure exactly when Jesus would return? You guessed it - our work for the sake of the Kingdom would suffer.

Speaking of working for the sake of the Kingdom, Sarah Palin discusses her faith in her new book. As I finished reading "From The Heart," I wondered whether or not she would run for the Republican nomination for president in 2012.

The more I get to know her through her books, her T.V. show - Sarah Palin's Alaska - and her commentaries both at the Fox News Channel and on Facebook, the more obvious it appears to me that her wonderful and positive Christian influence on the world of politics as well as her dedication to the American people and the ideals instilled by our Founders for our Constitutional Republic would be better served if she continued doing exactly what she has been doing over the past two years.

Don't get me wrong - if she ran for president I would definitely support her!

However, think about all of the powerful influence that she has had on everything from criticizing (and rightly so!) the Obama administration's terrible policies to helping to get a Republican majority back in the House of Representatives. Look at how successful she was in backing the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party candidates and helping many of them to get elected! Look at the success she has demonstrated in raising five wonderful children! Look at the success she enjoyed showing the public the beauty of her home state and the adventures that her family has enjoyed living there!

Recently, William Kristol (editor of the Weekly Standard and Fox News Contributor) went on the record to state his opinion that Sarah Palin will not run for president in 2012. Could he be correct about that? Only time will tell.

I do know this. Sarah Palin is not the type of person who would run for office for fame, fortune or glory. How do I know this? Because she believes that all the glory belongs to the Lord! She would sincerely do it to serve the American people - only if she felt that they (and most of all - God) are calling her to serve in this manner. That is the difference between someone who is being an obedient servant of God for the Kingdom, rather than an elitist who thinks he (like Obama), or she should be crowned "king or queen" and have the minions serve him/her.

This is one of the greatest differences between Obama and Palin. Palin is a genuine Christian who desires to serve the Lord, care for her family, and if necessary, serve the nation. But she will base her decision on whether or not the Holy Spirit's guiding leads her in that direction. She will rely on the calling that God would give her at this time in history to determine His will for her life.

Obama has revealed himself as being a fake type of Christian who uses the religion whenever he is trying to get people to follow him or vote for him and his ill-begotten legislation. His policies have been an absolute disaster! Hopefully, the incoming House Republicans can reverse most of the damage.

Whatever Sarah Palin decides to do with her future, America can be very proud of this "Mama Grizzly" woman who represents the REAL women in America. She is GENUINE - not ANYTHING LIKE the phony leftist women who parade around as self-described "feminists" who care more about abortion rights than anything else in life. The liberalism of the leftist elite females won't allow them to recognize that they should "choose life - your mother did." Instead, they will support any and all organizations that would snuff out the lives of unborn children and call it a "normal" endeavor. What sick-in-the-mind type of logic is that? Abortion KILLS BABIES IN THE WOMB! That is the sad, disgusting, and evil truth of the matter. It is time to start offending these "femi-Nazis" for the sakes of all of the defenseless unborn boys and girls that they think matter less than the dumb slogan - "a woman's right to choose." We must ask, "choose what?" Death for their unborn child?

Women like that - including most of the ones who host that awful show - "The View" - hate Sarah because she is normal and they are not. Their most cherished liberal beliefs are exposed as the sins that they truly are by conservative Christian women like Sarah Palin. And they hate and despise her for that!

The Bible has a lot to say about "deeds being evil."

Jhn 3:19 "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Ezekiel even goes so far as to say that such people will secretly "loathe themselves":

Eze 36:31 "Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your iniquities and your abominations.

It is because of men/women "loving darkness rather than light" that makes them feel shameful for their "evil ways and deeds that were not good." What could be more evil and shameful than killing an innocent human being in the womb?

The truth is that women who have had abortions often feel terrible and unrelenting guilt for their entire lives. It is not a quick "solution" to their pregnancy dilemma. However, there is forgiveness for such a sin at the foot of the cross of Jesus!

It is my prayer that God will keep His loving arms of protection over our nation as we head into a new year. Without Jesus, we are truly lost. He is the way, the truth and the life - no one comes to the Father but by him! It is my sincere and heartfelt prayer, dear reader, that no matter where you came from or have been this year (or, for that matter, in the next), that you will come to the realization that you need the Savior! Choose you, this day, whom you will serve! I pray that you will choose to know the love, grace and mercy of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

We all applaud the successful thwarting of the Christmas-Tree Bomber and hope our government continues to do all it can to keep us safe. However, the latest round of publications of leaked classified U.S. documents through the shady organization called Wikileaks raises serious questions about the Obama administration’s incompetent handling of this whole fiasco.



First and foremost, what steps were taken to stop Wikileaks director Julian Assange from distributing this highly sensitive classified material especially after he had already published material not once but twice in the previous months? Assange is not a “journalist,” any more than the “editor” of al Qaeda’s new English-language magazine Inspire is a “journalist.” He is an anti-American operative with blood on his hands. His past posting of classified documents revealed the identity of more than 100 Afghan sources to the Taliban. Why was he not pursued with the same urgency we pursue al Qaeda and Taliban leaders?



What if any diplomatic pressure was brought to bear on NATO, EU, and other allies to disrupt Wikileaks’ technical infrastructure? Did we use all the cyber tools at our disposal to permanently dismantle Wikileaks? Were individuals working for Wikileaks on these document leaks investigated? Shouldn’t they at least have had their financial assets frozen just as we do to individuals who provide material support for terrorist organizations?



Most importantly, serious questions must also be asked of the U.S. intelligence system. How was it possible that a 22-year-old Private First Class could get unrestricted access to so much highly sensitive information? And how was it possible that he could copy and distribute these files without anyone noticing that security was compromised?



The White House has now issued orders to federal departments and agencies asking them to take immediate steps to ensure that no more leaks like this happen again. It’s of course important that we do all we can to prevent similar massive document leaks in the future. But why did the White House not publish these orders after the first leak back in July? What explains this strange lack of urgency on their part?



We are at war. American soldiers are in Afghanistan fighting to protect our freedoms. They are serious about keeping America safe. It would be great if they could count on their government being equally serious about that vital task.

Most people already know that the puppet Obama is incompetent. But his puppetmaster - George Soros - isn't. The combination of Soros being a billionaire, anti-American operative, evil financier (who has succeeded in destroying economies around the world), and anti-war zealot (intent on wreaking havoc upon our freedoms, safety, liberty, and independence while putting our soldiers in harms way in more danger); just proves that the man is a type of antichrist that Jesus spoke about in the Bible. Not THE antichrist, of course, but a precursor of what the world will endure when Christians are raptured and the world is run, temporarily, by Satan incarnate. There is no doubt in my mind that Soros has his bloody hands all over this so-called "leak." And the Obama administration just let it all happen. So shameful! So disgusting!

DWTS - Losing Its Class and Grace

Hi friends. My apologies for not consistently posting lately. Yesterday, my morning started out crazy and remained so for most of the day! When I got out of the shower, the roofers (getting our roof repaired all week) were banging on the roof, the dogs were barking hysterically, the phone was ringing, my husband was texting me on my cell phone, and my Mom was hungry for her breakfast!

I literally did not sit down but twice during the day. At 2:00 p.m. to watch The Glenn Beck show, and then again at 8:00 p.m. to watch Dancing With The Stars.

DWTS has been one of my favorite shows. However, something happened towards the end of the show last night that I found ungraceful, un-classy, and very disappointing.

The question is:

Did Sarah Palin get booed on Dancing With the Stars last night? Some people think so.

There is a debate going on in the comment section regarding what, or whom, the "boos" were directed towards. The trouble is, during the re-broadcast, the booing could have been suppressed. It was left in there on purpose.

The one show on television that I always thought was one that demonstrated class and elegance is being tarnished. The first disappointment was the need to bleep out Brandy's curse words. How sad that a beautiful singing star has such a foul mouth that she can't even control it while appearing and performing dances on a national T.V. show!

The second disappointment was what definitely appeared to be booing from some in the crowd right before Sarah Palin, who was there as a member of the audience to support her daughter Bristol's performance, was briefly interviewed by the host of the show. Young Piper was sitting next to her mother in support of her older sister. But the booing libtards didn't care to think how that young child might feel about their rude, arrogant, and unnecessary disparagement.

My comment at Gateway:

When a mom who happens to be famous and loved by many – yet hated by some in the public who disagree with her politics - appears at an event to support her daughter, I would have thought that even the most rabid leftists would be gracious and not boo. But I was wrong. The type of persons who would boo a person like that on national T.V. during a pleasant dancing competition are despicable – to say the least.

I was in the audience of DWTS a few years ago and we were encouraged to dress nicely and be polite. There were people introduced in the audience who I didn’t like and disagreed with politically, but I would NEVER have booed them during the taping of the show.

If those boos were aimed at Sarah Palin (and I think they were – like Bailey wrote, “There was way too much time between the scores and the boos.”) then someone involved in the show needs to apologize for it next week.

However, it appears that the execs at ABC are not willing to offer an apology to Gov. Palin for the disgraceful attitude of some in the audience. They hid behind their desks and lied about it.

The slogan at ABC is “a new kind of family.” Apparently, that means a rejection of normal conservative families like the Palins and the embrace of the rude, bombastic, rabid, liberal leftist lunatic fringe types as this new kind of “family.” How sad and tragic.

It’s been debunked both by ABC and the shows host, Tom Bergeron. The boos were not for Sarah. In fact , if you watched it, you can see and hear that when Bergeron introduces her, there is cheering and applause and lots of smiling faces in the audience. I bet it gets debunked this on evening’s show as well.

Just because some of the fringe left loons wish and say something is so, it doesn’t mean it is. Another failure.

I have been at a taping of the show. Things can be manipulated. For instance, the performances by musical guests are usually taped first and presented on T.V. later in the show.

It is possible that the audience was told not to boo (again) before the interview was done. The only way to know for sure is to ask people who were actually there in the audience.

Next, I went over to The Daily Beast link (above) and read this:

Over the past several days, I have been very busy with family matters. I haven't listened to the news much lately (except for Glenn Beck's show) so when this happens, I often don't have the time to write any detailed blog entries. Thus, I have presented some of the work of others.

A New Hampshire state representative has resigned his position and announced he will not run for re-election after writing that a dead Sarah Palin is "more dangerous than a live one."

State Rep. Timothy Horrigan stepped down Thursday after posting a Facebook page in which he described the "myth" of the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican presidential candidate.

His resignation comes after another New Hampshire Democratic candidate apologized the same day for his Facebook post in which he wished Sarah Palin and the father of her grandchild, Levi Johnston, had been on the plane that crashed Tuesday, killing former Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens.

"Just wish Sarah and Levy [sic] were on board," Keith Halloran originally wrote in reference to Palin and Johnston, her daughter Bristol's ex-boyfriend.

In his post, Horrigan wrote, "a dead Palin wd [sic] be even more dangerous than a live one...she is all about her myth & if she was dead, she cldn't [sic] commit any more gaffes."

In his apology Thursday, Horrigan didn't say much about being wrong for the sentiment.

"I apologize to anyone who feels they need an apology from me. And anyone who feels the need to be angry at me is free to be angry at me. I made some mistakes, but I am not ashamed of who I am. I am not ashamed of anything which I am. Nothing anyone says to me is going to change the way I feel about myself -- especially if you don't know me," he wrote on his website.

Typical liberal-leftist progressive gobbledy-gook from someone who intentionally leaves out what would be necessary for a genuine and sincere apology.

In a previous post, I mentioned that Cordova Spain was overtaken by Muslims in 711. Others have called it Cordoba, Spain. When I looked it up, either spelling is correct. Apparently the "Cordova" spelling was used in ancient times.

I think that it is incredibly insensitive and audacious really for them to build a mosque, not only on that site, but to do it specifically so that they could be in proximity to where that atrocity happened.”

Many Americans, myself included, feel it would be an intolerable and tragic mistake to allow such a project sponsored by such an individual to go forward on such hallowed ground. This is nothing close to “religious intolerance,” it’s just common decency.

President Appeaser's Playground Mentality

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't seem to recall President George W. Bush lashing out against critics in the media. The Media of Mass Deception constantly disparaged, insulted, ridiculed, debased, and lied about President Bush and his policies practically every day while he was in office. President Bush was the type of man who ignored the vitriol against him and did his job as Commander in Chief. He kept us safe for seven years after the 9/11 attacks.

Obama? Not so much. We have already had four attacks (one was thankfully thwarted - the Christmas Day pantywaist bomber) here on U.S. soil, and with Obama's naive foreign policy, he's rolling out the red (how apropos for the Marxist!!) carpet; encouraging rogue nations to attack us because "we won't retaliate with nuclear weapons."

What kind of fool tells the enemy the strategy we have planned to keep this nation safe? Answer: NONE!! Even a fool knows not to show his hand in such a way. This clown Resident of the White House and his loony commie advisers are placing America in grave danger. It's like having middle school level children running the country. And, when someone like Sarah Palin legitimately criticizes their stupid policies, the bogus POTUS answers back like a dumb-ass nincompoop!

Despite the seriousness of the nuclear appeasement mistke by ObaMAO, it's comic relief to read Gateway Pundit's post:

Exactly what makes THE WON any more of a nuclear warfare expert than Ms. Palin?

Hell, the Nuclear Weapons Targeting Courses I took for the Infantry Officer Advanced Course, Field Artillery Officer Advanced Course, and the Command and General Staff Officers College make me a more highly trained Atomic Weaponeer than THE WON.

Three mindless, nonsensical and dangerous acts.
- Removing “Islam” from the foreign policy publications.
- The retarded change in our nuclear stance.
- The empty treaty with Russia on Nukes.

All three of these actions weaken America’s standing in the world.

I see others have had the same thought I do: After the news that has come out over the past couple of days, no one in their right mind would ever accuse Obama of being an expert on nuclear issues.

This man is so . . . strange. What is it about him that he constantly has to pick on people by name? I’m sure ever president has felt like responding directly to critics but I simply cannot recall any other president EVER picking people out by name and being harsh in his response to them.

He plans on defending each one of the 57 states by placing joe biden look-a-like scarecrows in each one. If that doesn’t work he’ll go nuclear and place nancy pelosi scarecrows. Last resort: thermonuclear with barney frank ones.

Two Inspiring American Lives

While visiting an older friend who is someone who definitely ranks as a member of The Greatest Generation, I picked up the paperback version of the autobiography of Ronald Reagan - An American Life. It is the book that I gave him as a gift several years ago on Christmas Day. He always admired Ronald Reagan. Now, I have become very interested in reading it.

I noticed the similarity in the titles of Reagan's autobiography and Sarah Palin's recent best-selling book - Going Rogue - An American Life. They both deeply value their upbringing and the life they enjoy[ed] here in America. They both regard[ed] the United States of America as the greatest nation on the planet! They are proud of our heritage, our nation, our military strength, the hard working and dedicated people of this country; and they both express genuine Christian faith and a gratefulness to God for all that we enjoy here in America.

Despite the fact that I have only read the first 28 pages so far, I find myself longing for another great American - a Reagan Conservative who believes the same things about our country and people as Reagan did - to get voted into the presidency in 2012. Could Sarah Palin be the one to follow in Reagan's footsteps of greatness? I hope so! I find her background, policies, Conservative political positions, support for small business job creation, low taxes, ideas for fixing what's broken in our nation, demonstrated fiscal restraint while Governor of Alaska, support for our brave military, determination on the War on Terror, and her love for America and family to be quite refreshing from what we are now enduring from this current terrible administration.

My first vote in a presidential election was for Ronald Wilson Reagan. I was a freshman in college and quickly coming to grips with my political philosophy and world view, when this idealistic, bright ray of sunshine declared it was "morning in America." Having remembered all to well the horrors of Watergate, the tepid Ford presidency, and the...well...you fill in your own pejorative for Jimmy Carter's presidency, Mr. Reagan, for me at least, was a breath of fresh air.

If you are looking for pure history of the Reagan years, the works of Lou Cannon and Richard Reeves will provide more objective views; i.e. the type of stuff political junkies like myself love to chew on. However, if you are looking for a first person account of a uniquely American story, this memoir will both uplift and inspire.

This book is quintessential Reagan. Missing is the self-adulatory, self-promoting tripe you read in autobiographies. Also, although he was bitterly opposed by "The Establishment," the literati, Hollywood, socialists, communists and the like, there is not an ounce of rancor to be found.

An American Life, despite the fact that it is 700+ pages, is a quick and fairly easy read. In order to obtain a full view of his presidency, I not only recommend this work, and the aforementioned volumes, but also the book that is the compilation of his letters. Far from being the "amiable dunce," you'll discover that "Dutch" was a unique and complex man and we are a better country for having him a part of the body politic for as long as we did.

This is the definitive book by and about a truly great leader, and a great man. Ronald Reagan came to office at a time when America desperately need a man of his strength and character. After a decade of downturn - particularly the Carter malaise years, Reagan renewed our faith in ourselves and our nation. Today's conservatives - especially our so-called "leaders" - need to read this book.
Ronald Wilson Reagan - Ronaldus Magnus - will be missed, and we may never see his like again.

I sincerely hope that the last part of the last sentence of the second reviewer is not true! Reagan is missed by a majority of Americans (except those in the first reviewer categories of ""The Establishment," the literati, Hollywood, socialists, communists and the like,") but I do see evidence of "his likes again" in Sarah Palin. Heck! We already know that they both share extreme and rabid hatred being hurled at them from the same enemies list above [just add ObamaBorg Bots to the list against Palin]!

It was interesting to find out that Reagan learned to read at the young age of 5. His mother would read story books to him each night and run her finger under the words of the story as she spoke them. Reagan surmises that he just picked up reading very earlyin his life because of that. He also became adept at memorizing what he had read quite quickly and easily. I think that such an ability, plus his perpetual optimism about America's heritage and greatness helped make him the encouraging type of orator that he was during all 8 years as president and beyond.

In the beginning of Chapter 2, Reagan writes:

I grew up observing how the love and common sense of purpose that unites families is one of the most powerful glues on earth and that it can help them overcome the greatest of adversities. I learned that hard work is an essential part of life--that by and large, you don't get something for nothing--and that America was a place that offered unlimited opportunity to those who did work hard. I learned to admire risk takers and entrepreneurs, be they farmers, or small merchants, who went to work and took risks to build something for themselves and their children, pushing at the boundaries of their lives to make them better.

I have always wondered at this American marvel, the great energy of the human soul that drives people to better themselves and improve the fortunes of their families and communities. Indeed, I know of no greater force on earth.

I think growing up in a small town is a good foundation for anyone who decides to enter politics. You get to know people as individuals, not as blocs or members of special interest groups. You discover that, despite their differences, most people have a lot in common: Every individual is unique, but we all want freedom and liberty, peace, love and security, a good home, and a chance to worship God in our own way; we all want the chance to get ahead and make our children's lives better than our own. We all want the chance to work at a job of our own choosing and to be fairly rewarded for it and the opportunity to control our own destiny.

The dreams of people may differ, but everyone wants their dreams to come true. Not everybody aspires to be a bank president or a nuclear scientist, but everybody wants to do something with one's life that will give him or her pride and a sense of accomplishment. And America, above all places, gives us the freedom to do that, the freedom to reach out and make our dreams come true.

There are a lot of similarities between the beliefs that Ronald Reagan had, and the beliefs that Sarah Palin currently shares with the American people. This brief blog post is by no means an exhaustive account of them all. However, what I think has propelled Sarah Palin into the hearts and minds of the majority of Americans is that similar vision that Reagan had as to what direction is right for our country. I'm certainly not alone in comparing the two. Take a look at this "A Toast to Sarah Palin" magnet that has the images of Palin and Reagan on it!

I was glad to hear on Fox News Sunday that Ms. Palin has not ruled out a run for the White House in 2012. She hasn't committed to a decision yet (which I think is wise), and her reasons for deciding to run 9if she does) are very admirable. She has stated that if the country and her family wants her to run, thn that would be a huge part of the criteria that she would use to weigh her decision.

She would be a leader who wants to serve this nation...not to be served. She has already demonstrated this through what she did while governor of Alaska. And she has iron-clad grit! She didn't earn the nick-name "Sarahcuda" for nothing you know!

Despite the Media of Mass Deception's attempt to destroy her - she grows stronger and more loved by the normal, America-loving patriots of the TEA Party movement which is growing every single day. No matter what the haters throw at her, she will not be moved away from her goals to be outspoken about changing the direction of the current Marxist/tyrannical form of government that Obama & cohorts & clueless Congress have conspired and planned to inflict upon our beloved nation!

Thank you Sarah! No matter what you decide to do about the 2012 presidential race, we have confidence in you and know that you only want what is best for America! We support you all the way - in whatever direction God leads you to pursue now and in the future!

Heh heh heh.... I thought I saw steam coming out of Geraldo Rivera's ears as he reported on Palin's speech last night! I jumped over to CNN and saw a guy named "Lemon?" (I think) reporting. It's funny. Both Rivera and Lemon hated Palin's mocking of Obama's policies. But the point is that Obama's terrible policies deserve to be mocked!! They are BAD, BAD, BAD for our country!

Governor Palin hit many great high notes. One of the most revolutionary remarks was regarding We the People comprising the movement. It is stronger without a leader; we are each leaders. The longer the movement can grow without nominal leadership, the longer we can keep the MSM at sea and unable to exert their politics of personal destruction.
