Jesus warned us about having tribulation in this world. He wouldn't have told us if he didn't want to prepare us for it.
Of course, as we head towards Good Friday, where Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross for the sins of mankind and shed blood for the remission of sins to all who believe in his name; we have the joy and truth of the Resurrection. Therefore, no matter what happens in this world, in Him we may have the peace that surpasses all understanding!
Jhn 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
Phl 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

Writers, dreamers, and futurists have described "golden ages" and "utopias" of various sorts, to be brought about by the upward evolution of man to a perfect state. The true golden age, God's Millennium, will be brought about in spite of man, not because of him.

Have you ever really studied the words and lyrics of the familiar and beloved Christmas song, "Joy To The World?" In reality, most of the song has to do with Jesus' Second Coming and his reign over all the world during the Millennium!
Pastor Jeremiah mentions this fact in this week's television broadcast. When you hear what he has to say along with what the words in the song convey, you might agree that "Joy To The World" distinctly describes the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

At the website where I found a copy of the lyrics, there are several paragraphs written which includes the idea that this song has more to do with Jesus' Second Coming than with his birth in Bethlehem.
The words and lyrics of the old Christmas carol "Joy to the World" were written in 1719 by Isaac Watts. The father of John Watts was a Non-conformist and so extreme were his views that he was imprisoned twice. His father's influence over Isaac was demonstrated when he choose to attend Nonconformist Academy at Stoke Newington in preference to a University. Watts was ordained as a Pastor of an Independent congregation.
"Joy to the World" is one of the best-known and best-loved of Christmas carols. It contains a message of joy and love replacing sin and sorrow. It may also be interpreted to be about life after the second coming of Christ. The hymn is significant for its widespread use throughout Christian denominations and for the musical stature of the people who created it.

I finished reading Dr. David Jeremiah's book, "The Coming Economic Armageddon" this week. I think that every person - not only every Christian - should read this book!
In the latest T.V. installment, Dr. Jeremiah points out some very interesting details about the ancient city of Babylon as recorded in the Bible (and the tower of Babel that was being constructed) while he shares the ties that Saddam Hussein and our current sinful culture has with the emergence of the new Babylon. The coin [Note: see coin in Turning Point video - link below] created with Hussein and King Nebuchadnezzar gives proof to the fact that Hussein was intent on rebuilding Babylon.
After Saddam Hussein's demise and the huge victory of the U.S. military in Iraq, the work on rebuilding Babylon is continuing. Don Koenig of The Prophecy Years is quoted as saying in his piece "The Rebuilding of Babylon":
That statement coincides with what Dr. Jeremiah shares in this week's television broadcast. He states, among many other prophetic signs, that oil will be the "booty" that all the world will be going after which will ultimately lead to the battle of Armageddon.
The similarity between what happened in Nebuchadnezzar's time and what is prophesied in the Bible to happen in the end times is quite fascinating - and very scary if you are not a saved Christian.

Dr. Jeremiah gives solid advice as to how to prepare for what is coming. Most of all, we are instructed to prepare our hearts, minds, and souls for what will surely come to pass. We are instructed to do what really matters - evangelism. Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all who have "ears to hear what the Spirit says to the churches." Tell anyone willing to listen about why Christ died on the cross at Calvary and what that means for all who answer his question correctly (as Simon Peter did), "Who do you say that I am?"

Dr. J: All Americans Should Be Able To Voice Their Opinion Without Reprisal
The debacle that occurred, and was caused by the White House person who was most likely ordered to go bully Dr. David Jeremiah because of a comment he made about Obama being "dangerous" is quite disturbing!
Can you recall all of the awful things that were spewed against President George W. Bush over the eight years when he was Commander-in-Chief? I do not remember President Bush ever making a public spectacle about any of the liberal-leftist lunatics that spewed hatred against him night and day for all those years! He had much more dignity in his pinkie finger than Obama ever has had in his entire lifetime! Obama is so thin-skinned, he has to blast every person who ever uttered a word against him or his terrible policies!
While doing a search for additional reports on this incident, I found Refreshment Refuge. The author including this additional piece of information:
Jeremiah also stated on AFR's Today's Issues that he meant what he had said. He also affirmed that all Americans should be able to voice their opinion without reprisal.
I think that cements the reason for the phone call from Joshua DuBois. It was a not-so-veiled threat to get Dr. Jeremiah to shut up! I'm happy to report that he will do nothing of the kind! Keep preaching the TRUTH Dr. Jeremiah! Don't let these Obama thugs intimidate you! God bless you and thank you for your AWESOME new book, The Coming Economic Armageddon.

Dr. Jeremiah writes from a wealth of research and Biblical knowledge. Although he presents facts not easily found in the traditional media, he does not write to scare but to inform the reader. The economic crisis in this country, in fact in this world, is frightening. It is a subject that I try to leave to those who truly understand the economy and give me tidbits of information that I can handle, or ignore. I was interested in what Dr. Jeremiah had to say because of his scholarly approach to the subject, and because without exception, every book that I have read by Dr. Jeremiah always speaks of hope, something that the economists of today don't seem to have. It is evident that there is unrest and fear in this country for many reasons, but the media would have us believe that the economy is one issue, a difficult issue, better left to the "experts", or to a two minute blurb on the evening news. I don't want to be an expert. I do want to be better informed, and I found that through reading this book, even I could understand some of the issues and know that there is a plan. More importantly, I felt that by having the information presented in this book, I now have a resource to encourage friends and family.

In all of his Prophecy teachings, Dr. Jeremiah clearly and compassionately shares through the wisdom and understanding the Holy Spirit speaks through him. Many studying the Prophecy recorded in the Bible will understand that it appears we are in the latter days of life on this earth as we have known it. Times are changing rapidly just as mankind has been advised from the Word of God. The time is nearing where acceptance of Jesus is critical and will determine where we will be when the Rapture occurs. No one knows exactly when, but God's word has told us that events will happened letting us know that event is nearer than we may think. The Bible is a book of history from the beginning, through the present and into the future of time. I believe that when the Rapture occurs, where you will be will depend on who can save you from being left behind. The only Savior is Jesus. The teachings in Dr. Jeremiah's book tells us of these events as well as serving as a warning to prepare.

Dr. Jeremiah is a good writer and does a great job of explaining, in sobering terms, how we ended up in the economic mess that we are in; and, more importantly, where we are going. He does so via the science/art of economics and, of course, by understanding God's infallible prophetic Word. My degree is in Business Management and I read a lot about economics (in fact, Peter Schiff's recent book entitled "Crash Proof 2.0" is a great book from a secular author that echoes much of what Jeremiah says--though I think Jeremiah's is better since it approaches the subject from a Christian worldview). I have also studied Bible prophecy for many years (and wrote a book that is becoming increasingly popular). I say that to hopefully explain that I especially enjoy the subjects of economics and Bible prophecy and, thus, can write with reasonable authority that David Jeremiah addresses both of those topics exceptionally well.
He explains how the world economy is more interrelated than ever. There is also a good presentation of how the Social Security System is, more or less, a grand "ponzi scheme" on the brink of collapse. He also explains how the economic health of a "superpower" can impact many other areas of a nation, such as it's international political and military influence. A good explanation of how debt at either an individual or national level eventually leads to serious financial problems and that pumping "fiat money" into an economy at the rate we have will lead to inflation is provided. We know that scenario (inflation, wherein it will take a day's wages just to buy food) is predicted to happen in the end times according to Revelation 6:6.
Further in the book Jeremiah turns to what he knows best: end times prophecy. As a result, the reader will find a rock solid discussion of how a "new world order" will play a role in the end times, how the Antichrist will be able to control who may buy and sell, the mark of the beast, and other important topics. Readers of his previous books, such as "What in the World is Going On?", will find a good bit of redundancy; but they will also see it being explained from a more economic angle. If you haven't read a previous book by Dr. Jeremiah, I think one could jump right into this one and not miss much and, thus, since this one is most current, I would say get this one.
In the end, Dr Jeremiah delivers a good book well worth reading and, once again, makes a valuable contribution to the idea that Christians should now, more than ever, learn as much as possible about end-times Bible prophecy given the times in which we live.

A Southern California pastor with a national radio following says he's expecting to chat today with a White House representative over comments last week in which the pastor described President Obama as a "dangerous" man.
Dr. David Jeremiah's remarks came during an interview last week with OneNewsNow about his new book, The Coming Economic Armageddon: What Bible Prophecy Warns about the New Global Economy. In that interview, Jeremiah was asked about the direction the country is going under Barack Obama's leadership.
"I do not believe he has been an asset to our country; I don't believe he's moved us forward in a good direction, and frankly, I am praying, along with many other believers, that in this mid-term election we will find a way to slow down this train that seems to be moving us toward socialism and away from our historical moorings," Dr. Jeremiah explained. "I'm really frightened about that, and I think in that respect, I believe he's a dangerous person."

While "cordial," yesterday's dialogue between a well-known evangelical pastor and the White House brought little agreement on the ultimate consequences of Barack Obama's economic policies.
Pastor David Jeremiah says he and President Obama's liaison to the faith-based community had a "very cordial conversation" on Monday, but "agreed to disagree" about comments Jeremiah made last week about the president's economic policies and the direction those policies are taking the U.S.
The phone conversation with Joshua DuBois was brought on by a OneNewsNow story in which Dr. Jeremiah described the president as a "globalist" and argued Obama was not an "asset" to the country, was moving the country toward socialism and, in that respect, was a "dangerous person."
Following his conversation yesterday with DuBois, Jeremiah released this statement to OneNewsNow:
"I talked with Joshua DuBois....He is a terrific young man who loves the president and his family. We had a very cordial conversation about the article that appeared in OneNewsNow last week, and we agreed to disagree on the issues reflected in that article.
"In this important dialogue about the future of our country and the resolution of the issues that we are currently facing as a nation, there must be room for criticism and debate, and each of us should feel the responsibility to speak out. Joshua knows of my concerns and left the door open for further discussions in the future.
"Please remember to pray for our nation and for our president!"
Just prior to his discussion with DuBois, Jeremiah appeared on American Family Radio's Today's Issues, sharing that he had no regrets about what he said in the initial article and did not offer the comments in a mean-spirited way. "It was my opinion that that's where we're going. Nothing that I know of that's been brought to the fore...has made me change my mind about that. I am very concerned about where this country is going." (See earlier article)

Mankind's Utopian Dreams Doomed to Failure
If you sincerely desire to know what is happening in America today and why it is happening, you must read Dr. David Jeremiah's new book, The Coming Economic Armageddon. In chapter 2, Dr. Jeremiah writes about how mankind's Utopian dreams are all doomed to failure. He mentions George Soros and what that multi-billionaire's goal in life really is.
Dr. Jeremiah writes:

Dr. Jeremiah goes on to tell us about Soros' history and "the fact that he is a shadowy figure who exerts enormous influence behind the scenes, moving people about like a puppeteer and manipulating the global economy from highly fortified hideaways."
The root of all evil is the love of money. After a person has accumulated so much wealth that he is labeled a multi-billionaire, what does he do with all of it? Answer: he uses it for manipulation purposes. He manipulates people, economies, the media, public opinion, etc. and promotes his own type of "Utopia" through the manipulation of currencies in order to achieve a "new world order."
Dr. Jeremiah:
Apparently, America has been a "thorn in his side" because of our annoying desire to remain sovereign and hold to the ideals of life, liberty, justice, and the pursuit of happiness through our Constitutional Republic. How ironic that Soros hates our economic system based upon Capitalism. He has made billions from such a system!
I wish I had the time to write in more detail about Jeremiah's discussion of "the ancient appearance of a New World Order." See Genesis 11:2-4 and read about the Tower of Babel. What they were attempting to do was an act of rebellion against God.
Dr. Jeremiah writes:
Dr. Jeremiah goes on to describe a modern attempt (the United Nations) at a New World Order. I don't even need to list all of the terrible mistakes that the U.N. has made throughout it's existence. Perhaps this paragraph helps to condense it:
Mankind's attempts to achieve world peace have always failed. Many times, they have failed - abysmally! This is because when fallen man rules the earth, you "will hear of wars and rumors of wars...For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom." (Matthew 24:6-7)
The only time that genuine peace will exist on earth is during the millennial reign of Jesus Christ which will end all war.
Meanwhile, what is the fallout from the inadequate attempts at world peace via human efforts?
Dr. Jeremiah writes:
Dr. Jeremiah shares some wonderful detail under each of these headings. Here, I will share just a few paragraphs that will tell us why man's attempts at a peaceful "New World Order" is bound to fail - every time!

America is currently deeply divided between the small percentage of secular liberal progressives who want a Marxo-Communist-Islamo-Fascist "utopia" created by man [Manifest Destiny??] rather than what the majority of Americans represent - (mostly) Christian, conservative, Constitutional-Republic way of life - that promotes Godliness and what our Founding Fathers envisioned for our sovereign nation.
Dr. Jeremiah shares how the popular song "Imagine" by John Lennon expresses what all Utopian dreams do, but has no basis in reality!
Any progressives who happen to come along and read this blog post are not going to like to hear this! How shattering it would be for them to read that their beloved Utopian theme song has been relegated to the trash heap of historical error by Dr. Jeremiah's words of wisdom!
Dr. Jeremiah:
This is precisely why the Great Commission was given to us by Christ Himself! It is only through the saving grace of God, the mercy afforded to us through the forgiveness of sin via the sacrificial death of Christ at the cross of Calvary - whereby we can be saved. Saved from the punishment we all deserve from sin, and at the same time, saved from ourselves!!

This prediction has launched Soros into the final cause of his life; he is devoting millions of dollars to fund a post crisis think tank that will reinvent a new global order following the coming economic collapse.
A recent report by the Reuters news organization was headlined, "George Soros Unveils New Blueprint for World Financial System." Speaking via video link with students at leading universities across three continents, Soros said, "International cooperation on regulatory reform is almost impossible to achieve on a piecemeal basis, but it may be attainable in a grand bargain where the entire financial order is rearranged." Soros has also stated in interviews and lectures that China should step up to the plate as the leader of a new global order, and the United States should not resist the establishment of a global currency.
Apparently, America has been a "thorn in his side" because of our annoying desire to remain sovereign and hold to the ideals of life, liberty, justice, and the pursuit of happiness through our Constitutional Republic. How ironic that Soros hates our economic system based upon Capitalism. He has made billions from such a system!
I wish I had the time to write in more detail about Jeremiah's discussion of "the ancient appearance of a New World Order." See Genesis 11:2-4 and read about the Tower of Babel. What they were attempting to do was an act of rebellion against God.
Dr. Jeremiah writes:
As Paul explained (see Romans 8:29, Matthew 28:16-20), God scattered men and set "the exact places where they should live" so they would seek after God. Mankind, settling in smaller communities throughout the world, would not be tempted toward the self-importance and sense of power that massive centralization would foster. Centralization would tempt them to rely on their own collective wisdom and strength instead of trusting in the Lord.
Dr. Jeremiah goes on to describe a modern attempt (the United Nations) at a New World Order. I don't even need to list all of the terrible mistakes that the U.N. has made throughout it's existence. Perhaps this paragraph helps to condense it:
I am not a fan of the United Nations. It is ineffective because of the widely varying aims and interests of its members; its consensus is often blocked by special interests of its members; its directives to rogue states are consistently ignored; its peacekeeping efforts are resounding failures; and its human rights commission border on irrelevancy.
Mankind's attempts to achieve world peace have always failed. Many times, they have failed - abysmally! This is because when fallen man rules the earth, you "will hear of wars and rumors of wars...For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom." (Matthew 24:6-7)
The only time that genuine peace will exist on earth is during the millennial reign of Jesus Christ which will end all war.
Meanwhile, what is the fallout from the inadequate attempts at world peace via human efforts?
Dr. Jeremiah writes:
1. A New World Order promises peace it cannot produce.
2. A New World Order presumes a unity that is impossible.
3. A New World Order paves the way for a one-world ruler.
4. A New World Order provides the rationale for a global economy.
Dr. Jeremiah shares some wonderful detail under each of these headings. Here, I will share just a few paragraphs that will tell us why man's attempts at a peaceful "New World Order" is bound to fail - every time!
Dr. Jeremiah writes:
But the unity they aspire to cannot produce world peace because the heart of man remains unregenerate. Unifying under a power strong enough to enforce peace will result in a corrupted authority that will instead produce unprecedented tyranny.
[T]he differences in cultures, religions, goals, and economics among the nations are far too vast to be melded into a true unity. It would be a unity of mere appearance -- a false unity. The difference between false unity and true unity is the difference between surface appearance and inner reality. Permanent and genuine unity must come from within. There must be a oneness of spirit and heart among peoples that serves as the basis for true unity. False unity can be imposed by external force, suppressing people's true beliefs, convictions, and aspirations, but it lacks the power to bind together their hearts. Therefore it always comes unraveled.
That is truly an awesome observation and basic truth!
America is currently deeply divided between the small percentage of secular liberal progressives who want a Marxo-Communist-Islamo-Fascist "utopia" created by man [Manifest Destiny??] rather than what the majority of Americans represent - (mostly) Christian, conservative, Constitutional-Republic way of life - that promotes Godliness and what our Founding Fathers envisioned for our sovereign nation.
Dr. Jeremiah shares how the popular song "Imagine" by John Lennon expresses what all Utopian dreams do, but has no basis in reality!
Contrary to what the lyrics wish for, there is such a thing as religion; there is a heaven and a hell. There are ideals worth dying for. Wishful thinking, no matter how lofty, will not produce a wizard's wand to sweep these realities out of existence and give us a world where differences in religion, ethics, ideals, economics, and culture don't matter.
Any progressives who happen to come along and read this blog post are not going to like to hear this! How shattering it would be for them to read that their beloved Utopian theme song has been relegated to the trash heap of historical error by Dr. Jeremiah's words of wisdom!
Dr. Jeremiah:
Furthermore, people will never find true unity because the sinful nature of man will prevent our coming to a consensus on truth. The prophet Jeremiah puts it this way, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9). Humanity may unite with good intentions, but as long as hearts remain wicked, nothing good will be produced."
This is precisely why the Great Commission was given to us by Christ Himself! It is only through the saving grace of God, the mercy afforded to us through the forgiveness of sin via the sacrificial death of Christ at the cross of Calvary - whereby we can be saved. Saved from the punishment we all deserve from sin, and at the same time, saved from ourselves!!

When he (the Antichrist) finally appears, the world will embrace him. He will have all of the answers to the pressing problems of mankind. He will be the ultimate financial czar -- Satan's CEO, and he will deceive the world with a promise of stability and order. When the whole world is singing his praises, he will unveil his master plan for the destruction of all those who refuse to fall down and worship him.
In those final months of his evil reign, no one will be able to buy or sell without his special identification mark implanted in his or her forehead or hand. Using the technology that is already powerful enough to accomplish his plan, the Antichrist will control the financial destiny of every nation and every individual.
From his center in the ancient rebuilt city of Babylon, the Antichrist and his partner, the False Prophet, will regulate the commerce of the world until Almighty God brings it all to an end "in one hour" (Revelation 18:10, 17, 19).
Then there will at last emerge the ultimate one-world government and a one-world economy that will be the fulfillment of the long-desired utopia. The bible assures us that a golden age of unprecedented peace and prosperity is coming. What the Antichrist will have failed to do with his militaristic and computer surveillance, Jesus Christ will do by His omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence. For one thousand years Jesus Christ will preside over an idyllic age of peace and prosperity.
With these events facing the world, we ask the question posed in a book title by the late revered apologist Francis Schaeffer: How should we then live? In light of all that is happening, and all that is going to happen, how should we organize our schedules and live our lives? I have called the last chapter of this book, "Keep Your Head in the Game and your hope in God." This is the instruction that God has etched upon my own heart. In these desperate days, this is my prayer for you!
From Crisis To Consolidation
This past Sunday, I watched another segment of Dr. David Jeremiah's sermon series, The Coming Economic Armageddon. Doesn't it seem as though it is already here? The jobless claims just came out again and we have hemorrhaged another 462,000 jobs last week!
If you have studied end times prophecy, you already know that as we get closer to the Rapture, our lives here on earth will continue to spiral down because of the evil, sin and death that is being unleashed. The chaos [known as the seven years of Tribulation] that will ensue after millions of Christians disappear simultaneously from the earth will result in the rise of the most evil dictator and "leader" the world has ever known - the Antichrist.
As the whole world groans under the harsh oppression unleashed by the unholy trio known as the Antichrist, the False Prophet, and the Beast; those who become new believers will figure out what happened during the great disappearance and they will become the remnant here on earth who will help those who don't know Jesus Christ to become believers. After the seven years of tribulation, the triumphant return of Jesus Christ to this earth will result in the holy and righteous 1,000-year reign of the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
I am still waiting for the delivery of Dr. Jeremiah's new book. In the meantime, I have been following the series via his Sunday morning T.V. broadcast. ABOUT THE CURRENT TELEVISION SERIES
Every mother knows this about births: They are unpredictable; each one is different. There’s another birth―the only one of its kind in history―that is coming due soon, and its timing will be unpredictable as well: the birth of the kingdom of God on earth. Jesus Christ is coming back to earth to establish His kingdom to rule and reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords for one thousand years.
Even though we don’t know exactly when the specific events leading up to the birth of the kingdom will take place―events like the Rapture of the Church, followed by the seven-year Tribulation―we will experience “birth pangs” that tell us the time is drawing near. Every mother knows “that feeling” that comes with the onset of labor, the pains that tell her the blessed event is drawing nigh. And because everything―food, clothing, shelter, jobs―is a function of finances, a combination “new world economic order” seems destined to emerge.
Students of biblical prophecy will not be caught off guard by these developments. As far back as the prophet Daniel, Scripture has foretold the rise of an end-time government led by the most despotic dictator in history. This leader will be “Satan’s CEO,” empowered by the devil to move people’s eyes away from Christ and toward himself, the Antichrist. Because of his power, this leader will control who can buy and who can sell in the world. And people who are hungry will swear allegiance to him rather than starve.
