God's Ultimate New World Order

This Week’s Television Broadcast
God's Ultimate New World Order Week of November 14, 2010
Writers, dreamers, and futurists have described "golden ages" and "utopias" of various sorts, to be brought about by the upward evolution of man to a perfect state. The true golden age, God's Millennium, will be brought about in spite of man, not because of him.

David Jeremiah.org: This Week's Television Broadcast - God's Ultimate New World Order

Have you ever really studied the words and lyrics of the familiar and beloved Christmas song, "Joy To The World?" In reality, most of the song has to do with Jesus' Second Coming and his reign over all the world during the Millennium!

Pastor Jeremiah mentions this fact in this week's television broadcast. When you hear what he has to say along with what the words in the song convey, you might agree that "Joy To The World" distinctly describes the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Read the lyrics:

Joy To The World

Joy to the world! The Lord is come.
Let earth receive her King
Let every heart
Prepare Him room
And Saints and angels sing
And Saints and angels sing
And Saints and Saints and angels sing

Joy to the world, the Saviour reigns
Let Saints their songs employ
While fields and floods
Rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat, Repeat, the sounding joy

Joy to the world with truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love
And wonders of His love

And wonders and wonders of His love

No more will sin and sorrow grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He'll come and make the blessings flow
Far as the curse was found,
Far as the curse was found,
Far as, far as the curse was found.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And gives to nations proof
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love;
And wonders of His love;
And wonders, wonders of His love.

Rejoice! Rejoice in the Most High,
While Israel spreads abroad
Like stars that glitter in the sky,
And ever worship God,
And ever worship God,
And ever, and ever worship God.

At the website where I found a copy of the lyrics, there are several paragraphs written which includes the idea that this song has more to do with Jesus' Second Coming than with his birth in Bethlehem.

The words and lyrics of the old Christmas carol "Joy to the World" were written in 1719 by Isaac Watts. The father of John Watts was a Non-conformist and so extreme were his views that he was imprisoned twice. His father's influence over Isaac was demonstrated when he choose to attend Nonconformist Academy at Stoke Newington in preference to a University. Watts was ordained as a Pastor of an Independent congregation.

"Joy to the World" is one of the best-known and best-loved of Christmas carols. It contains a message of joy and love replacing sin and sorrow. It may also be interpreted to be about life after the second coming of Christ. The hymn is significant for its widespread use throughout Christian denominations and for the musical stature of the people who created it.

The Collapse of the Global Financial Market

I finished reading Dr. David Jeremiah's book, "The Coming Economic Armageddon" this week. I think that every person - not only every Christian - should read this book!

In the latest T.V. installment, Dr. Jeremiah points out some very interesting details about the ancient city of Babylon as recorded in the Bible (and the tower of Babel that was being constructed) while he shares the ties that Saddam Hussein and our current sinful culture has with the emergence of the new Babylon. The coin [Note: see coin in Turning Point video - link below] created with Hussein and King Nebuchadnezzar gives proof to the fact that Hussein was intent on rebuilding Babylon.

After Saddam Hussein's demise and the huge victory of the U.S. military in Iraq, the work on rebuilding Babylon is continuing. Don Koenig of The Prophecy Years is quoted as saying in his piece "The Rebuilding of Babylon":

The only thing that is holding up the rebuilding of Babylon Iraq from emerging into a world class tourist center for the rich and famous is the violence in Iraq and the development of their oil. Some now think that Iraq has larger oil reserves than Saudi Arabia and by 2020-2030 Iraq could be [the] world's leading oil producer.

That statement coincides with what Dr. Jeremiah shares in this week's television broadcast. He states, among many other prophetic signs, that oil will be the "booty" that all the world will be going after which will ultimately lead to the battle of Armageddon.

The similarity between what happened in Nebuchadnezzar's time and what is prophesied in the Bible to happen in the end times is quite fascinating - and very scary if you are not a saved Christian.

When we think of the world's great cities today, we think of New York, London, Tokyo, Rome, and others. But a city is coming in the future--an ancient city that has lain dormant for ages--that will dwarf today's world-class cities in opulence, commerce, finance, and sin.

The last chapter of Jeremiah's book gives us such hope that all of the previous chapters of doom and gloom melt in the warmth and light of the reality that will come when Jesus Christ returns to judge the world and create his kingdom on earth for 1,000 years in the Millennium.

Dr. Jeremiah gives solid advice as to how to prepare for what is coming. Most of all, we are instructed to prepare our hearts, minds, and souls for what will surely come to pass. We are instructed to do what really matters - evangelism. Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all who have "ears to hear what the Spirit says to the churches." Tell anyone willing to listen about why Christ died on the cross at Calvary and what that means for all who answer his question correctly (as Simon Peter did), "Who do you say that I am?"

What On Earth is the Millennium?

Last week, I introduced readers of this blog to Dr. David Jeremiah's new series, "Revealing the Mysteries of Heaven." Today's broadcast certainly doesn't disappoint! In fact, it brings much greater clarity to what is meant by what the Bible calls, "The Millennium."

A brief background:

The 1,000 years (Revelation 20:2-4) are often referred to as the Millennnium (Latin for 1,000). Just how and when this 1,000 years takes place is understood differently among Christian scholars. The three major positions on this issue are called postmillennialism, premillennialism, and amillennialism.

Today's broadcast, "What On Earth is the Millennium?" is covered in great detail, using Bible verses from the Old Testament to support the premillennialism view that Dr. Jeremiah reveals in his sermon.

Last week, I ordered the DVD set, book, and five study guides. This series is so good that I want to share it again with a group of five friends in my home! A few days ago, I got an email that told me the "Revealing the Mysteries of Heaven" DVD, book, and study guide set is on backorder! It's THAT popular!

I was planning on viewing all of the lessons that I had previously missed in the series when I got my set. But now, I find that since I will have to wait until mid-April to get the entire set, I want to view the previous sermons available online at LightSource. com: Turning Point.

Briefly, I want to point out that some Christians may believe in "Postmillennialism" or "Amillennialism." These are different views about the Millennium, but they need not cause division and controversy in the church because each view acknowledges what is most crucial to Christianity - Christ will return, defeat Satan, and reign forever! Despite what an individual Christian believes regarding the Millennium, Jesus Christ will unite all believers. Therefore, we should not let this issue divide us.

I once got into an argument...make that a "discussion" regarding the differing ideas about "whatever and whenever" the Millennium will be. Neither one of us ended up convincing the other of our views regarding this issue. Sometimes that's the way it goes!

However, the way that Dr. Jeremiah covers it in this series, the Premillennialism view fits with Scripture (IMHO) MUCH better than the other views do.
