The Washington Wizards denied a Washington Post report Saturday that two teammates were involved in an altercation outside a local nightclub early Friday morning.
According to The Post, power forward Andray Blatche and centerJaVale McGee were involved in a dispute outside the Shadow Room.
"The team looked into the matter earlier today and determined it was simply a disagreement between teammates," a team spokesman said in a statement to the paper.
In two text messages to The Post, Blatche denied there was any issue between him and McGee.
"Only one push cause we was tryin to leave and it was fights around us. Why would we fight we are team mates," Blatche told the paper.
The Post said no arrests were made and no one was injured.
The Wizards traded former franchise cornerstone Gilbert Arenas on Sunday. The trade came nearly a year after he was suspended by the NBA for the last 50 games of the season following a series of arguments involving gun play with then-teammate Javaris Crittenton.
The Wizards play the Spurs in San Antonio on Sunday.
