10 Meters of Extended US Coastline

(A momentary extension of the U.S. coastline, courtesy of Danish artist Nikolaj Recke, who then parceled the excavated sand back home to a waiting gallery space. Sort of like buying beach front property: a new territory, your own coast of utopia where you can watch sunrises or sunsets in near religious ecstasy, but the thrill is soon swept away when the shore and your house along with it get shipped off by a hurricane.
