A group of 20 students and two teachers from Kashmir visited Mumbai as part of the Army''s ''Operation Sadbhavana''. The programme was conducted by Basantar Air Defence Regiment under the aegis of Chinar Air Defence Brigade, yesterday.
"The children were enlightened to visit the metro city and the sea side for the first time. They were taken to the historical Gateway of India and Taj Palace hotel," a Defence release said.
The children also had an educational visit to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum. They were also shown the Nariman Point and driven along the marine drive.By the end of the day, the children were left thrilled and motivated to experience the main stream of the nation and join the same in future, it said.
