Wynter Gordon Says The Dance-Pop Bubble is Going to Burst

With the success of her singles "Til Death" and triple platinum selling Australian No. 1 hit "Dirty Talk," Wynter Gordon has been a force to be reckoned with in the dance genre. But she fears the popularity will slow down soon since everyone else is hopping on the bandwagon.

“I feel like it’s kind of reaching its peak,” Gordon told inthemix. “I mean, unless everyone decides to change their format then I think the bubble will burst. They’re not doing what I would call real dance music…it’s kind of just, on the surface, party music. I feel like even in the dance scene people want something a bit deeper, something to hold onto and these songs about ‘dancing on the floor tonight, all night, all the time, tonight again’; they’re already feeling old. People are going to need to do more work to make it stick around.”

Gordon recently released her dance-heavy debut album 'With The Music I Die.' She worked with several producers including, Nick Littlemore (Empire of The Sun), Ace of Base, Axwell (Swedish House Mafia), and Robbie Rivera.

Hopefully those collaborations will help her maintain popularity within the genre.
