Bjork Premieres New Michel Gondry-Directed Video for 'Crystalline'

Bjork has just released a Michel Gondry-directed video for her new single, "Crystalline," and it's predictably gorgeous. Filled with stop-motion animation, an homage to early filmmaker Georges Melies, crystals growing in slow motion, hypnotic animated line drawings, the singer's verbal abstractions and, best, a wild drum-and-bass breakdown at the end that hopefully signals a trend, the song, and the video, continue to expand the singer's range. (Now if someone can add some bass to the track, it'll be finished.)

"Crystalline" is from the Icelandic singer's forthcoming full length "Biophilia," which has a street date of Sept. 26. Not only is the album to be released in the standard formats, but Bjork, ever the boundary-pusher, plans to release it as a series of mobile phone apps. Watch the video for "Crystalline" below.

Now tell me, honestly that, this beat doesn't go hard...I 'll call you a liar!!
