Lil Wayne was greeted by federal agents after arriving at Miami’s Opa-Loca Airport this weekend, according to TMZ.com.
Law enforcement sources for the celebrity gossip site say that several agents from the Drug Enforcement Agency were on hand to perform a contraband search on the Louisiana rapper, who is currently on probation, on Sunday (February 27) morning after he stopped off his plane. Unable to find anything illegal however, they let the rapper go on his way without impeding him any further.
As a part of his two-year-long probation, Wayne is not allowed to have guns, drugs, or any other illegal substances in his possession at any time, and cannot consume alcohol.
“Wayne is very smart and intelligent, trust me, he knows. He knows what he has to do,” said Cash Money CEO Ronald “Slims” Williams while talking about Wayne’s legal situation.
“When he went down [for attempted possession of a weapon], we all went down. We are family and we hold each other up. That’s one thing about us. If you don’t know us, we are one big family and we stick together.”
Good for him! Staying clean is a great example that it can be done!!
