50 Cent Creates Uber50 For Blackberry

Hustler, entrepreneur and innovator, 50 Cent, has done it again and added another partnership to his belt with UberMedia. Not only does the G-Unit CEO continue to keep his brand relevant, but he somehow consistently manages to make money creatively.

The rap mogul struck a deal with the social media application developer UberMedia and their popular app for BlackBerry, UberSocial. Under the partnership, Fiddy has his own personal theme titled the Uber50 that is available today (April 29) as a free download.

The free version of the app will have a custom icon and logo, exclusive rights to the G-Unit Twitter list and background art on the app. There is also a paid deluxe G’d-Up version with a special Gritty Darkside theme, downloadable wallpapers fans can add to their Blackberry home screens and special effects handpicked by 50 himself.

The rapper who already has 4.5 million Twitter followers expressed in a prepared statement, “Twitter has become an important way for me to communicate with my fans and for my fans to communicate with each other.” He continued, “We’re all big users of UberSocial on the BlackBerry and already use many of their current themes to customize the look of the app, so it was a natural for me to work with UberMedia to develop a special theme. I think my fans are going to love sending and reading their tweets with my new theme.”

It has been reported that UberMedia has been working on launching a rival social networking site to compete with the popular Twitter network. If UberMedia decides to push forward with their rumored plan, it would be no surprise if the Rap mogul decided to join forces with the software company.
