Eminem's 2000 Album, 'The Marshall Mathers LP,' Certified Diamond

More than a month after his 2002 album, The Eminem Show was certified diamond, Eminem achieved the mark yet again with another album reaching the rare sales mark.

The Detroit rapper's third studio album, The Marshall Mathers LP, which dropped in 2000, has reached diamond sales of more than 10 million units.

When the album dropped in May 2000, it shot Eminem into super stardom, landing atop the Billboard 200, selling 1.76 million copies in its first week, making it the fastest-selling rap album in history.

It also boasts numerous hit single, including "The Real Slim Shady," "The Way I Am," and "Stan".

Marshall also received several accolades, including the Grammy for Best Rap Album in 2001. It was later ranked at #302 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, and was also included on similar lists in Q Magazine, Time and Complex.

Years later, Eminem is still a force to be recoken with. Last year, he droped his seventh studio album, Recovery, which has since hit multi-platinum numbers, and earning him his sixth Grammy for Best Rap Album.

In other Eminem news, the rapper is set to perform in Chicago as a headlining act for Lollapalooza 2011. He will also headline the Bonnarroo music festival in Manchester, Tenn. this June.
