The 2011 Coachella Festival went down just over a month ago, but the organizers are already planning an even bigger event for next year.
Apparently, for 2012, Coachella will expand to two consecutive weekends.
Organizers for the annual festival in Indio, California announced that it will take place from April 13-15 and April 20-22, both weekends featuring the same line-ups.
"We will attempt to produce two identical festival weekends. That means same lineup, same art, same place, different people," a statement on their website read.
Apparently, 2011's Coachella Festival sold out so quickly, that organizers felt that needed to do something to accommodate fans who can't camp out for tickets. The answer: two weekends.
"We were truly surprised by the overwhelming response and remain honored by your passion and enthusiasm," a statement said, referring to their ticket sales. "We also know some of you purchased through non-legitimate sources and were inconvenienced, gouged or totally scammed. We hope that these changes will give everyone the opportunity to purchase directly from Coachella.com."
Further details -- including 2012's line-ups -- were unknown at press time.
Passes for the 2012 festival go on sale Friday (June 3). For further info, visit Coachella.com
