Most celebrities are used to and can expect a throng of cameras or excitable fans waiting to meet them off their flight.
But while most of them like to avoid it, rush to their car and get whisked off to the safety of their own home, Nicki Minaj actually stopped to soak up the attention.
Hardly surprising though really, seeing as she posted details of when she would be landing on her Twitter page. Check the pics:
On Sunday, after announcing she was packing for her trip to the UK, one fan, @GraceBarbiee wrote to her and said: '*hops up and down* Nicki! WE WANT TO MEET YOU AT THE AIRPORT DM Galactic the details!', to which she responded, 'Okkk :)'
Then yesterday, she laughed at a message from one fan, @MayaRockstar, that had obviously been camping out at Heathrow.
She wrote: 'The airport security is going to tell me to leave soon, when are you coming to London?', to which Nicki said: 'In about 14 hours'.
Then, just as she was about to board her flight, Nicki wrote: 'Ok London in 10hrs and I'm all yours!!! Roman and Martha have arranged for me to stay with them! I rather fancy that idea.. *british voice*.'
It seemed as though the initial excitement soon wore off after fans started to grab at her as she made her way out of the airport and, with her bodyguard putting a protective arm around her, she hurriedly made her way to her car.
Nicki was in the UK to promote her debut album Pink Friday which has so far failed to reach higher than #34 on the UK album chart.
Smart move, Nicki!!
